We are seniors, and we are green!
Homecoming starts this week! I haven’t been very good at updating but not much has happened. But this week will surely be a lot to write about. We dress up every day this week as follows:
Monday: Tie Dye Day
Tuesday: Twin Day
Wednesday: Dress up Day
Thursday: Superhero Day
Friday: Class Colors (Green)

Senior school I.D. This just keeps becoming more surreal, my final Edmonds Woodway High School I.D. card. WOW… I was really happy with this picture this year because normally I have to retake every photo every year, :(. But not this year, it must be a sign :D.

Last First Day of High School :D

Today was my last first day of high school, I wasn’t too nervous actually, mostly just ready to get it over with… I drove Sarah and I at about 7am this morning thinking we would be early to get a good parking space. But everyone was literally already there, it was insane. Ended up parking in the worst spot in the parking lot just to be able to get out of the car and out of the mess of parking.

I realized while walking through the doors that I had dropped my phone. I really hoped to god that I dropped in the car so that’s what I told everyone. How typical is that of me to lose my phone!? *winkwink*

First period was alright, lots of familiar faces but it still felt like I didn’t know anybody there. Personal Finance seems like an interesting class, I’ll learn a bit about money. Second period was Algebra 2, that was alright, actually no, it was awful. It was full of these freshmen I didn’t know, and a few sophomores as well… Dreadful! The only reason I have to take that class is because that is all I have to pass through for graduation, so I just have to live. Third period was alright, it was Psychology, the teacher was a little weird, and the class was totally overpacked it was ridiculous. But again full of sophomores and freshmen. 4th period was something I recognized really well, a friendly teacher and English, I do pretty well in English so I was happy to sit in a class I actually wanted to follow. 5th was just fine, although it was a junior class but that’s better than a class full of super underclassmen. Finally, 6th period, Chemistry, another jam packed class with underclassmen.

Phew!!! Glad this days over. Now I have to work for 2 hours and then back to the house I go. Luckily for me there’s no homework clogging up my first night of agony… Tomorrow is picture day too, :).

Summer is over, and boy, have I had a long one !? I ended school in Sweden on the 7th of June and returned home the 13th. But nobody at home was done with school yet so I had a two week extra long vacation.

School starts this Wednesday, my final year of high school. Can’t believe how weird that sounds. After not being at the school for a whole year I feel a lot of things have changed.

Mostly I can’t believe I’m not starting another year at Nicolai with my friends. Miss them all so much, and my host family. All were such a big part of my life.

But now Sarah and I shall be in school together for a year, which should be interesting. We haven’t been in the same school for about 3-4 years now.

I’ll begin to post more once the school year finally commences. Such exciting things to write about like prom, homecoming, the differences between Swedish school and American high school. Until then…

Started an SAT prep class yesterday. With two hours of studying a night. I find it quite difficult with my kitty laying on my work every half hour. Studying during the summer doesn’t make any sense to me. But look at my cute little puppy sitting on the couch sleeping.

As much as it pains me to be happy about this, school is finally over!!! It’s over, June 7th 2012. I can’t believe it’s actually over, time really has gone quickly.

I’m going to miss all of my friends, and all my teachers. They were all so nice to me and it is going to be hard to go back to my friends back in the US knowing I have made such good friends here in Sweden. I hope that they never forget me because I will never forget them.

I love them all <3

Spent the day with Isabelle and Lena Bosson. We shopped at Väla from 10am to 12pm. Bought some new clothes, a new dress and a new shirt! It was a nice day to see them, they’re so nice to me, :). We had Indian food for lunch, and gräddbullarian for dessert. They also bought me a present for me which was quite nice. Haven’t opened it yet, will probably do that tonight.

Tomorrow is my last day of school for the year, I don’t really know how I feel about it yet… But yes, tomorrow is the last day then summmerrrrtime(:

19 years my host parents have been married today, so we celebrate!!! :D congratulations.

I also had them take spirit animal quizzes, Dad is a Wolverine, and Mom is a Crow. So fun!

This weekend has been really great, last night we had Dad’s brother and his wife over for dinner and for a nice evening. Today we had the family Bosson’s over for a fika.

Isabelle Bosson, their daughter is my age, really nice, and she’s also going to be an exchange student… Now you’re asking, where is she going? Answer: SEATTLE :D how awesome is that. I’m hoping that she can stay with my family because that would be so much fun but we shall see.

School’s almost over, this is my last week of school. Monday no one has classes but we go down to the beach for a big beach handball tournament with other gymnasiums. Tuesday we have regular classes and schedules, and Wednesday is the National Day where no one has anything, no school, no jobs. Then Thursday, I will end school for the year. Boy how it has gone by fast!!!
